The 13th Annual UnTapped Blues Festival was a great success. We had talented bands representing Chicago and LA, Seattle and Portland, as well as Spokane and Idaho. The festival also featured more than 30 breweries, seven wineries, eight food vendors, and five non-food vendors, as well as three blues societies. Most importantly we had more than 3,000 fans enjoying a beautiful day at the Benton County Fair Grounds.
This Festival relies on volunteers and sponsors. Without them we could not pull it off year after year. Our presenting sponsors this year were Eagle 106.5 FM and The Businesses of Clover Island (Port of Kennewick, Ice Harbor Brewery, Cedars and Clover Island Inn). We deeply appreciate of our other sponsors for their generous support, including:

Our creative team including Visual Antics (graphics and print media), Mariah Digital Design (web design), and Mooreshots Direct (electronic media) were the heart of the Festival planning and promotion.
Finally, this years community-based non-profit partner was Kate’s Team Foundation in support of the "March of Dimes". All of the profits from the sale of beer and wine went to Kate’s Team to help researchers develop ways to save babies who are born too soon, as well as ways to prevent premature births and birth defects in the first place.
This was my first year leading the festival planning and operations. I am deeply thankful for the advice and support provided by Eric Nyberg. For 12 years Eric carried the torch. I only hope this year’s effort was up to the standards of excellence he established.
Next year plan to come early and stay late…we have more surprises in store for the 14th Annual UnTapped Blues Festival on MAY 8th, 2010.
